There are some new posts on my blog the latest is a how to do 2mm Irregular Miniatures paint jobs. In my case its not the greatest paint work but the theory is good.

You can find it at \elenderilsblog.blogspot.co.uk

It's a dangerous path going 2mm, I started out with a DBA travel set idea but that was quickly scrapped. Now the project is nearing completion its all 4 legions based in Britain at 1:2 ratio including all Auxilia, Cavalry and Artillery. To oppose them there's 150 bases of Celtic infantry averaging 180 figure. Of course I haven't stopped with Britain or Rome,Parthians,Sarmatians,Hoplites and Pikemen are done along with Elephant,Chariots etc.

I use a different painting method of a burnt umber base coat and no dry brushing, course this results in quite a dark finish. A small price to pay if you want to tackle real tactical problems like as you say " how do x amount hide behind y amount of men ? "

I've bookmarked your blog and will follow it with interest.
