The piece on Bayonet wounds is misleading, 2-3% were the ones that made it to an aid station. |

I disagree. Many saber wounds were to the upper arm as the beaten trooper tried to ward off the blow. I see no reason to think most bayonet wounds were to the torso and fatal, a la Hollywood. I suspect many of the few bayonet wounds received were likewise to the arms, legs, etc. |
