Where there any units that wore the wheel hat in the Civil War, specifically Cavalry units?

Someone had said on another forum

This was the style hat worn by the cadets at La Grange College in Leighton, Alabama. Many of them joined the 4th Alabama Cavalry.

Just wondering, Thanks in advance

I believe that these caps were worn variously by militia and other early units, probably more commonly in the South than the North

I will see what I can dig out of my library

Is that different from the dragoon hats in the Mexican war?
