One of the advantages of 6 and even 10 mm is you really can put on some HUGE battles in a small space. Nice battle report. |

Although I think the game looks great --what kind of tactical decisions would have to be made in the game? Each army just advance straight on and then roll dice? regards Russ Dunaway |

Quite true Russ. One of the problems of refighting an historical battle where enough is known of the dispositions of the troops. The Persian side did have some options as to where they placed their troops. The Greeks thought about drifting to the right, but didn't. The game was an introduction to the rule system and had three new players, Chris having participated in several previous games at other conventions. Historically hoplite battles do tend to be pretty much a straight advance against the opposing force with some additionalpossibilities when cavalry and light troops are present.
