Excellent work. The camouflaged smocks are particularly good!

Very nice. Really love the work on the wooden slats.

How could you commit these to the table and risk them being KO!?!?!? This is why I game, to see a moving diorama. Thanks.

I never tire of looking at your work, Piers. Just beautiful, and I especially like the transfer on the Flak 43's gun shield.

Thank you guys… On a bit of a go slow lately (real work and family getting in the way of the important things!) so it was nice to get something finished!

Lovely work as always, I really appreciate the addition of crews and drivers, etc.. All too often they are left off vehicle kits, adding thee figures finishes the job. thanks once again

These are excellent. The thing that strikes me is the close up of the vehicle crew behind the gun shield. The guy with the binoculars helmet has a different color.

I'm pretty sure that this has been discussed many a time on TMP. Piers can you talk about your helmet color choices? Whenever I use my Battlefront recommended color for helmets they come out very green. Perhaps its the paint pot or my application but I always imagine the helmets to be more grey than green.

PiersBrand06 Aug 2015 8:08 a.m. PST

I tend to vary my helmet colours a little.

I have examples of those worn in Normandy in a variety of colours… Dark grey, plain green, plain yellow, yellow and green camo…

While most of my troops I do I use Vallejo German Grey or Vallejo Panzer Aces Panzer Crew Black for dark grey helmets. I use Vallejo Olive Camo Green for the green helmets and Vallejo Middlestone for yellow ones.

I dont over do it though and keep the non-dark grey helmets to a minimum, but enough to add a slight variety among a platoon of infantry.

The models speak for themselves: beautiful work. Your photographic technique is excellent as well.
