Guilty, as charged. I need educating not percecution but you others, admit it, you do it on purpose to waste Bill's time and stop him starting Version4. |

Not sure exactly how messed up your thinking but have seen a few of mine corrected. For whatever reason I type post then maybe look what I typed and correct if I can. P.s. I appreciate what they do and would hate it to be like a on line form and keeps rejecting it for some block that's incorrect. |

I just lost 6 crosspostings and left with one – historical wargaming. Am I bad? TMP link |

When you PMed the Editor to ask why, what was the response? Please post the discussion here. That will help us answer your question. (Not "Am I bad?", that will probably answer itself, but topic question.) |

He said he was tired of the number of times he has to correct posts that were improperly listed and that it seems to be getting worse. Usually it is one or two mistakes but I had surpassed everyone with my last post. He said he might consider a blanket removal of all posts that are not listed to the correct boards. He went on to say he had a big heart and was mostly forgiving but get it right! |

Your thread that Bill had to deal with is clearly so general in nature that it was obviously out of place on any but the Historical Wargaming board. |

Seems overkill, but anything that heavily discourages excessive crossposting isn't entirely unwelcome – more than one or two crossposts is rarely justifiable. |

At the risk of pounding the drum, maybe we could tone down the 20 million different boards a bit then ,and the problem would be less? |

Your thread that Bill had to deal with is clearly so general in nature that it was obviously out of place on any but the Historical Wargaming board Ah, thereby hangs a tale. My OP asked which sovereign nation last decisively defeated an invader, without help. I confined it to the 19C to UM as the most likely period, yet (so far) suggestions range back to the Napoleonic period. I then posted again to canvass opinion whether there should be a General Warfare board to cater for military and such questions over the whole periods of warfare when not specific to one or more periods. This to avoid ticking boards for Bill to later untick. Finally, the OP was not necessarily 'wargame' related so would it be appropriate to post in on Historical Wargaming? I am as keen as the next person to get it right the first time. Thanks. |

Bill does what Bill wants to do at the moment. Consistency seems strained to expect. I am as keen as the next person to get it right the first time. That is a moving target (see above) so good luck with that. |

Sometimes it is done by accident. I know because I have done so several times. |
