I wish there were some scale reference in the photos…I would like to know how big the ships really are. |
Virtualscratchbuilder | 04 Aug 2015 1:40 p.m. PST |
The ships are from Monday Knight Productions. The Supergalactic Dreadnoughts, which is one of their actual ship types, run between 5 and 6 inches if I remember right. Destroyers run around 1.5"-2", cruisers around 2.5", battlships between 3.5" and 5", plus or minus a bit on all of those. |

The big ships are quite large. |

Those look familiar! Thanks, everyone. As Virtualscratchbuilder said, these are the Galactic Knights line of starships from Monday Knight Productions. I posted some measurements on my blog a few years back: link |

Weird how when I first glanced at the opening pictures I immediately thought of the Starship Destiny from Stargate Universe, I really like the look of those, thanks for the reminder and if you go onto DesertScrb blog a sweet lineup all with dimensions, really helpful cheers |

I too had some back in the day, sold or traded them off (I didn't have too many) and regretted it nonstop until one day I met a man named Bill Char who it turned out had bought the rights to all of the moulds and had piles of 'em cast up sitting in his garage right here in the Bay Area! I was able to not only recover and paint up what I'd had originally to a much higher standard than a blast from a can of Testor's red enamel spray paint, but was able to build up at least a task group from each of the factions while I was at it thanks to Bill and Monday Knight Productions.
Always nice to see these brutes in action… Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net |

Leland, do you have contact info for Bill Char? I'd like to ask him some questions about his experience owning the rights to those minis. |
