Again, more figures I didn't need to see. Is only going to cost me more money. |

Very nice figures. The Fallschirmjäeger the Perrys did for Foundry are lovely and these are even better. |

I am desperately trying not to get sucked into a big 25mm WWII project. This does not help. |

wow, those paras are really nice – love the unbuttoned smocks – wish they were 20mm though !!! |

I echo PeterH & his thoughts ! There's a real need for quality 20 mm Fallschirmjager with FG 42's & anything else to complement the AB range of figures. |

What is the attraction of 20mm WW2 figures over 25mm? Just curious. |

that's a good enough question, with any number of answers. For me (and this is, just me), The Perry 28mm WWII figs are the only 28mm WWII miniatures that look remotely right. The others all too frequently have grossly oversized weapons, gurning faces, and generally exaggerated features and details, and seem to be very much more cartoon-like. Which to be fair, is a feature of not just 28mm WWII figures but the majority of 28mm figures, which has been the fashion for long time. All of those characteristics can also be found in 20mm figures, but there are a number of 20mm manufacturers which make much more proportioned, elegant, and realistic infantry figures. I've no idea why this is more important to me with WWII figures than it is with say, Napoleonic figures. I'm perfectly happy with any number of 28mm figures in other periods that are similar, where I don't mind the more exaggerated sculpts. It might be that because the figures are often viewed in proximity with detailed vehicles where the abnormalities of most 28mm sculpting is more apparent…I really don't know..but give me an AB 20mm anyday of the week. |

Thanks for your answer. Is there more variety of military vehicle ranges in 20mm over 28mm? I know Bolt Action are forever producing new stuff (which is very comprehensive) and I imagine the FoW has a large catalogue but what about in 20mm? Thanks. |

you can get EVERYTHING in 20mm, probably the most comprehensive array of vehicles available, because of the ability to use 1/72nd (and 1/76th) model kits in addition to wargames pieces- way more than 28mm, and probably more than 15mm |

I chose 20mm just because of AB. I'm playing skirmish games and I wanted the smallest figures that I felt I could comfortably use and that I liked as castings. If there had been something as good as AB in 15mm I'd have bought them. Smaller figures = more space on the table and to me that equates to a more interesting game. |
