"Hundreds of Gulf Arab troops from the Saudi-led coalition fighting Iran-backed rebels in Yemen have entered the southern port of Aden, a military source told AFP on Monday.

The source said the troops arrived in Yemen's second city on Sunday with tanks and armoured vehicles. He gave no further details.

The Saudi-owned Al-Hayat newspaper reported on Monday that a total of 1,500 troops, most of them from the United Arab Emirates, had reached Aden…"

Seems that the Saudis and their Yemeni allies want to accelerate the perception that the trend of this war is now going in their favour. I doubt that this is going to work …. especially if Saudi forces start to enter Houthi territories where I suspect that the war will then certainly become even more bloodier than what it is today.

Hmmmm, BMP-3's might get some combat experience outside of Russia? I'm keen to follow that development.

Man, I'm still getting gouged.

$3.25 USD or so here, for a gallon of gas.

On the plus side though, rumors are that oil may again drop down as low as $10 USD – $20 USD a barrel.

Supposedly, the Chinese have put both the Russians and Saudis on notice that they expect to pay less for oil going forward, which may help prices to drop further.

More Details

Several days ago, 2,800 Arab coalition troops landed in Yemen. Most were Saudi forces – special-operations, intelligence and logistics personnel – along troop units from the United Arab Emirates.

After joining forces with Yemeni troops loyal to deposed President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi, the combined Arab force recaptured the key Al-Anad military base and began advancing northward toward Sana'a, the Houthi-controlled Yemeni capital.

Still around $2.25 USD-2.30 in central Florida, but definitely a lot lower inland. I've seen forty-cent differentials before.
