So, when I picked up foam board to make terrain, I ended up with a 4' by 8' by 1' piece of insulation foam, way more than I could use realistically. Having finished a couple modular wall pieces, I would feel no shame putting these on a table top with well painted miniatures.

Realizing that not everyone has the time or inclination to make good looking terrain, and that terrain can often be somewhat pricy, I got the idea to sell segments of stone wall for an economically viable price in my ebay store, say somewhere between $2.50 USD and $5.00 USD.

So my question to you, TMPers, is this: How much would you be willing to pay for an 8 in long, 2 inch tall piece of gray, stone wall that looks the part and is ready to game with?

Not much for just one piece.

I would want at least 3' of pieces to make a wall that covers a board edge

$2.50 USD maybe, but the postage cost might make it a non starter.

As Ney Ney said, postage could be a deal breaker. Also you would have to have T sections and end sections. Will it be pre-painted? Will there be the option for gates and ruined sections? If I have to scratch build these I might as well do the whole thing. Will they be cast in resin or will each section be hand made?

I would say that $10 USD for two feet (three 8 inch sections) would be a decent price point, I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a bunch at a con. I would rather have 6 inch sections though personally, that lets me do the math on how many sections I need a little easier so I can save the brain power for calculating odds.

Well, they would be pre-painted, yes, no point in selling a chunk of foam as "wargames terrain!". Each section would be hand made. Looks like packs might be the way to go, for shipping and convenience and I suppose 6" makes more sense for play areas of varying size, since x' by y' seems to be standard for most games.

Thanks for the feedback!

$50 USD for some I suspect, if you claim it's GW-compatible.

My local shop has 6" lengths of weekly painted 28mm fencing for £1.75 GBP and 6" lengths of resin wall (for 20mm) at £1.00 GBP That is highly reasonable.

At a wargame show, walls seem to be packed in say 4 – 6 sections and will go for between £9.00 GBP£11.00 GBP

The higher the price, the more critically I look at the quality and functionality.

If I still did 25mm and these were as stated by you, then 4 Six inch pieces for $10 USD seems okay.

Too tall for many 15/18mm game applications I suspect.

I would be a bit concerned about the durability of foam board walls.
