My wife plays RPG's and dabbles in the occasional card, miniature and board game. My mom thought everything I did would turn me into a crazy person and the parents in law don't really care either way. |

My wife gave up commenting on my hobby. Every time she started complaining about buying toys, I just look out the window at her horses. |

My wife plays a little. Is very encouraging. My son plays various miniature and board games. We, my son and I, go to the 'local' game store together on Thursdays. That's all of the folks whose opinions I really care about… |

A all the way. My wife enjoys several of the games I have. She has painted and played several Battletech mechs. Always enjoys a "Kill Shot" on my Mechs. Hmm wonder if I should be worried. I have also painted her a pair of Armies for DBA. More the 50/50 in her victory percentage. My two daughters are also big fans. My oldest started rolling dice for me while gaming with friends when she was two.We were introduced to DBA at a Fall-In back when she was 8. After our demo she wanted armies so we picked up and painted a matched pair of NKE and Hittites. Since, she has collected several others that I have painted for her. My youngest has been gaming since she was two as well. Really enjoys our games with DBA. Her favorite chant is "Pikes, Pikes. I like Pikes." We all also spend time playing Wings of War/Glory, ACTA Star Trek and Star Wars X-wing. Just too much fun |

Wife is hostile. Refers to all as "your toys" and seems to feel that any increase must derive from something very like "the miracle of the loaves and fishes". Thus I have become adept at buying and receiving in a wide variety of deceptive ways. My daughter tolerates yet another of Daddy's strange doings so I would say she is indifferent. No one else matters. |

e-f. My parents think its a waste of time and a sign of immaturity. They always say "oh my you have a PhD, you teach at a University and still play with your toys". In the past when I lived with them friction was continuous (including heavy words). Nowdays they just throw a snide remark when I visit and set up a game with my old friends. I have accepted it as a part of life and do not let it get to me anymore (well I try). |

B my wife tolerates my hobby, my brother is my gaming partner, his wife is a bit more supportive of the hobby. But hey it keeps me out of the bars (well actually I'm a non drinker anyway!) |

My wife talks about me "playing with my little men"- better than playing with big women? A friend of one of SWMBO's friends donated a big box of WH stuff to me because her new boyfriend that she was moving in with looked down on the hobby. Huzzah for E&F (and I don't even play WH, but therre was some nice stuff in the box)! EDIT: … oh yeah, the box was labeled, "WAR DOLLS", possibly by said boyfriend. Since then, SWMBO, DOM, and their friends talk endaringly about me playing with my "dollies". I'm cool with that. |

My wife, when we were dating, assumed that it meant I was really a closet homosexual. Later on, she starting painting buildings for me. No my 12 year old daughter is having me paint up LOTR troops, and my oldest grandson thinks its so cool he drags his Dad down to see it. |
