Is it in some kind of trouble since the new regime took over? I have been trying to contact them about an editorial contribution they asked for but they do not respond to emails nor answer phone calls.

Any one else having problems?

Yes, same here. Wrote a few emails with pictures and other things to contribute but no reply or acknowledgement at all. Not sure what's going on?

The editor may have been at Historicon and not returned yet from an extended trip . I am sure no one has died etc.I only got back last week.

Heh. They ran a whole spread of my photos in their March 2015 issue and didn't even bother to give me credit, let alone pay me or get my written permission.

Sorry to side track but… New regime at WI? Has someone taken over since Battlefront bought it in 2009?

I noticed that the latest issue was late to arrive at the newsagents I usually get it. That's about all.

I am not an expert on this matter but will give some info and hops it is correct.
Dan Faulconbridge has taken over the whole magazine as opposed to being the editor working on behalf of the Flames of War company. I am sure theyw ill be along soon to give the proper story??!!

I wonder if there will be less Flames of War articles now? To be fair, there is only usually one article per magazine and it is usually fairly interesting, though I dont play FOW myself. Hope all is well with the magazine.

I received the latest issue the other day (I was a contributor of an article to this issue).

I take Martin's point but a message on the answerphone pointing out an absence until 'x' or something on the website explaining they were all away would have been normal procedure surely?

Seems odd that seeming all keen and asking us to contribute they now don't respond…

Bangorstu02 Aug 2015 9:54 a.m. PST

Well, it's no longer being sold in my local wHS, unlike the other two…

normsmith02 Aug 2015 2:20 p.m. PST

I saw the VERY latest issue (334) themed on WW1 air etc, today in Smiths (UK).

jgibbons02 Aug 2015 5:13 p.m. PST

I have emailed them twice about the FOW boxed set you are supposed to get for subscribing…

No answer so far…

The short answer to 'What gives at Wargames Illustrated' is – we had a major phone line/internet meltdown on Thursday and Friday of last week. We couldn't receiving incoming calls and our answer 'machine' wasn't working. Our broadband line was also down – we couldn't receive or send emails.

Mike Blake – we did receive your email/contribution on Thursday (just before the line went down) – thank you for that, we will be getting back to you ASAP.

Gen Custer – we are working our way through a large backlog of emails now and will be in touch with you ASAP.

MiniatureWargaming.com – could you contact us at letters@wargamesillustrated.net so we can look into this issue.

MHDee – There is no reason the latest issue shouldn't be in your local news agent, so sorry about that, but if you would like to order it via our website we we will refund your postage.

MartinGoddard – thanks your your support!

battleeditor – thanks for sharing that link.

Sean D Clark – There will continue to be one or two Flames Of War articles per month (many of which will be general WWII).

Bangorstu – I would be interested to know which WH Smith store that is, as we pay to be in them all (excluding WH Smith Travel – train stations etc.)

J gibbons – I believe we have now caught up with your emails now.

Technology is great when it works, when it doesn't, it's worth just hanging on for a few days and it usually gets back on track.

Editor – branch in question is that in Bangor, Gwynedd.
