Wife and I are thinking of buying our retirement house on Lake Wateree around Camden or Ridgeway, South Carolina. Any of you fine upstanding reprobates live near there?

LOL

Warlock, check out the Yahoo group, South Carolina
Historical Gaming Society.

They are a fairly active bunch in the Greenville-
Spartanburg area, although there are other members
located in other areas of the state.

Yes there is an active group that meets at Borderlands in Greenville. There are members all over the State though. You are also close enough to Charlotte as well if you want to game.

Excellent, thanks!

Ashokmarine has it right. Folks, including myself, regularly meet for games every Thursday at Borderlands Comics and Games in Greenville, SC. Come on out and play. You're as welcome as can be…

Also, Ed Mohrmann is right. I'm a member of the group he referenced. But they're not very active. Infrequent meetings. Great bunch of guys, though. Three of us meet every week at the aforementioned.

Warlock, you might also want to join the Catawba
Gamers CatawbaGamers@yahoogroups.com, many of whom
are located in the Charlotte, NC area but some of
whom spill into South Carolina (Fort Mill, Rock Hill,
etc.) Not too far from you, straight shot up I-77.

That group runs games every week or so.

There is also a large gaming convention in Charlotte,
NC, usually in November. It's called MACE and has
its own web presence. MACE has, in the past, hosted
some historical miniatures.

I am now in Johnston, SC. Between Aiken and Augusta, GA. A little far from you. There is a group in Lexington that plays every Sunday at a gaming store.I never got the chance to play with them. Been game free since moving from NC and away from my regular group.

Thanks for all the info, guys!

I'm in Rock Hill, just south of Charlotte. Fave games are DBA, Song of Drums and Shakos, Drums and Shanks Large Battles, and Lion Rampant.
