With a month before its release is anyone planning on seeing this?

The fact that Fox has placed an embargo on online reviews until the day before it is released and on print reviews until day of release does not bode well.

The trailer looks awesome – and I'm pretty sure it'll be better than the previous FF4 films, so, yeah I'll be there !

McWong7331 Jul 2015 5:32 p.m. PST

Embargoes like that are common these days, but yeah not a sign of confidence.

Still keen on my part.

Winston Smith31 Jul 2015 5:43 p.m. PST

Not a fan of superhero movies.

No, and what with the trailers trying so very hard to be "awesome to the max" (listen to the music they use: edgy-cool hip-hoppy stuff these instances is always a bad sign), I think it'll be bad. But people flock to see Michael Bay's, uh, stuff, so who knows- maybe it'll make a mint. They have already spent a FORTUNE on target market TV channels, and THIS far out!

But I want it to fail, and rights to revert to Disney, who clearly know what they're doing.

And no, I won't be going, and I doubt I'll ever watch it.

Pictors Studio31 Jul 2015 7:31 p.m. PST

I'm probably not going to go see it.

tberry740331 Jul 2015 7:47 p.m. PST

I suppose the director's name (Trank) is another bad sign.

chuck05 Fezian31 Jul 2015 8:03 p.m. PST

Nope. They changed too much cannon for my tastes.

Garand31 Jul 2015 8:16 p.m. PST

Meh.

Damon.

Howler31 Jul 2015 8:43 p.m. PST

I plan to see it.

Coelacanth31 Jul 2015 8:44 p.m. PST

Looks like a tone-deaf adaptation of one of my least favorite comics; so, no.

yes

WarWizard01 Aug 2015 6:50 a.m. PST

Nope. I really liked the original FF4 team, still have a lot of my 60's FF4 comics, but not a fan of this latest incarnation. I will pass.

dick garrison01 Aug 2015 9:21 a.m. PST

Probably, I love the FF and at least the Thing is CGI not a guy in a rubber suit!

I won't be seeing it. I get annoyed by superhero relaunch movies that recycle the same villains. Given the whole "alternate dimension" set up, they had the perfect opportunity for Blastaar or Annihilus but instead we wind up with Doctor Doom again. I think the only movie supervillaind that have been effectively used in multiple movies are Magneto and Loki, everyone else has just been tired retreads (Heath Ledger did a great job as Joker, but I still would have preferred a different villain.)

Dan 05501 Aug 2015 10:49 a.m. PST

I didn't even know it was coming. I think I'll wait until I hear from early movie goers how it was.

3AcresAndATau01 Aug 2015 11:27 a.m. PST

Meh. Most of the Marvel Studios stuff is gold, but Fox hasn't been as kind to their licensed properties. I can't count the X-Men movies on one hand, but I can count the good ones on the hand of Qhorin from Ice and Fire, the good FF movies, well, Stumpy's hand works great.

Besides, for the cost of a movie ticket you could buy a 15mm pack or two, a few character minis, or almost a third of a Perry box set. I'll pass until Netflix gets the disk.

I love the 1960's FF4. The news ones change too much.

Typical Hollywood to take a beloved property with a lot of potential then change it all into something completely different. Doing that loses the old fan base, the very people who should be excited by your property.

Nope. Looks dreadful.

wargame insomniac01 Aug 2015 3:01 p.m. PST

Nope.
Loved the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
Don't like what they have changed and will pass on this film.

Disco Joe01 Aug 2015 3:16 p.m. PST

No way.

SonofThor01 Aug 2015 6:56 p.m. PST

Definitely not.

Paint it Pink02 Aug 2015 8:32 a.m. PST

Trailer has made me want to see it, but I'll wait for it to com out on disc, but that's just business as usual for me as I begrudge paying for the cinema these days.

Coelacanth193805 Aug 2015 2:53 a.m. PST

What happened to the Thing's pants?

Captain Gideon05 Aug 2015 7:12 a.m. PST

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nazrat05 Aug 2015 2:21 p.m. PST

After reading that Fox will not allow any screeners to write about it until after it is released I would say it's a definite NO. It's got to be pretty darn dire for them to do that.
