To counter all this shameful negativity I think they are wonderful. Thank you for sharing, Armand. |

Happy YOU both like them my friends! (smile). The painting work is very good and can't they be used for Fantasy?. Amicalement Armand |

They certainly would fit in well in a fantasy setting. I also see potential for a Steampunk or Suppers setting. |

Yes, they are nicely painted. Has anyone noticed that everything sounds cooler if you append "of death" or "of doom" to its name. Tango01 of Death…John the Greater of Doom…yeah! |

Otto likes the page very much, as many favorable reviews in the past will attest to. Some figures are just absurd. They are really just a collage of over-sized sexual parts. Basic anatomy seems to be dispensed with. Once when I worked for a company that made English Leather and British Sterling, many years ago, we would sponsor beauty contests at Nascar and other road races. At one of them the marketing committee chose one girl who was absolutely gorgeous. The racing official at that race looked at us and said "You sure?!" They were all sure, and the rest of the contestants were rather plain to ugly having only huge breasts and hips, and fat to boot. Well the girl went out on stage and the choice was roundly booed by the crowd. The reason is simple. At the viewing range the crowd was at all you could see was the huge floppy breast and fat butts of the wart hogs in bikinis that were the other contestants. The head of marketing was shocked at what the guy told them. "If it isn't rape, these wart hogs don't know what to do with a woman." The above figures would have the crowd stamping and cheering in the aisles. Let me point out something. The Human body is beautiful. The undraped human form displays for the male its superba and the female it's luxuria. That is all that is the essence of the male and female. Caricatures only degrade that beauty. But the essential element is also the face. The face is the mirror to the soul, and the expression of the face determines what the rest of the form is to be interpreted as. The girl who was "booed" was a lovely one, with a smile that made the Orbitz girl look like she had teeth out of the Middle Ages. She also wore a more "demure" bikini. The girl was a living breathing work of art. The rest were trolls. |

Yes Otto, you've made your views known. We can now take it a read that you think many things here are absurd – we could change the topic blurb to read "For discussion of nude and semi-nude figures, excluding pornographic subjects, but including things Otto really wants you to know he dislikes". When you do have a positive comment (which is less frequent than you seem to think) it's always a backhanded complaint about everything else – "It's nice for once to see something not etc. etc. " For a short while it was quite refreshing to not have to be reminded of it again and again. |
