My experience is that they pull all stops on the preproduction models, making them look sublime, but once you go to the shop with a wheelbarrow full of money it usually ends up looking more like this :

Interesting. A GI Joe version of Princess Leia. No "Kung-Fu Grip" though. I the page they show the several hand variants. You replace the hands instead when you want her to hold a different weapon or device. |

Companies like Dragon tried flexible hands and they worked a bit. A lot of use and the wires start to work their way through the material. |
