My desire to be well-informed is at odds with my desire to remain sane. I am now actively trying to avoid world news, as I am finding myself increasingly depressed and irritable when I absorb it. I have no issues with the Ultramodern board or it's usage for discussion of such current news topics. Given the excellent tools that Dear Editor has provided us, I am able to easily just take this board off my front page. I hope everyone else reading the Ultramodern boatd continues to do so in a safe and happy way! READ HARD! |

I don't like the tabloid-style headlines – they get my goat up. Otherwise I can take or leave the Ultra Bored. (And you don't want to see my goat up …oh no!) |

There seems to be a certain poster that posts a lot in a headline way, almost to gauge public opinion. While most likeley just a gamer who thinks that nobody else can possibly know of world events, he seems to post just to stir the pot. I do not buy in to the idea that he shares these to generate scenarios as he leaves no such opinions nor suggestions how to convert to scenarios on the game table in his initial posts. Now if I had a nefarious purpose, what better medium to goad someone to propose possible courses of actions that could counter my plans? With open source mining, its possible to discover where you work. If in a defence capacity, your posts will hold more weight than ye old just gamer Johnny. Just saying….. |

I enjoy all the articles on the ultramodern board. Most news outlets are slanted one way or another so it is nice to get more viewpoints. |

Yeah, I like the ultramodern board. |

I turned off Ultramodern. But I still come here to take a look quite often. Perversity, I know…. |

If I didn't check on UM, I wouldn't know what to be scared of today, since I don't have cable TV any longer. |

Now if I had a nefarious purpose ------------------- I have to say as I think your potential implication is quite unfair – we all know who you mean and I doubt that (even if he did work for them) Argentinean MI is really interested in the opinions of people on a wargames board |
