"Noises Off" Topic

Dear old Mike's fairly frequent assaults on the House of TMP may well irritate several of the old stagers here but I would suggest it is no more than howling into the wind, mere sound and fury signifying nothing.
To be honest I read no more than a few words, clearly having a low attention span but surely the author in question, driven by his own demons, is more to be pitied than censured?
Ditto all the various sock puppets, trolls & Frothpotters (some of whom I will concede may even be almost human, provided you don't look too closely) whose oh-so naughty visits are raucous voices, quickly forgotten. They are all just Noises Off.
There are many more important things to worry about (such as when are they going to lay off Adam Goodes, have they found MH370 & where is TMP 4.0 if I was being cheeky…)

I would tell Dear Old Mike to get a life, but apparently annoying TMP IS his life.

So why mention it, or draw attention to it?

Heck, I thought this would be about the movie, starts out really slowly but gets really really funny about 30 minutes in.

Mike and his crowd certainly share an unhealthy obsession with what goes on round these parts. But I think the best thing is to simply not respond to any of the trolls and let their posts die on the vine, unanswered. They are indeed good for a few laughs though.

I locked 585 accounts yesterday. 485 were old Larry Dunn accounts. 100 were Lagartija Mike accounts (and he may also be Larry Dunn – the M.O. is identical).

So there is a Universal Ignore.

Wish he'd spend his time coming out with, and releasing new, and/or old products which have been "previewed" over the last few years, instead.

Maybe if people (and site owners) just ignored potty mouths, and obviously agitating threads were deleted without fanfare the offenders might get bored and drift away.

Wow! You have to admire the prescience of those Greeks – writing tragedies about Aboriginal Aussie Rules footballers and missing airplanes 2,000+ years ago!!! I'm impressed.

No, I was aware of him from the sports pages of The Grauniad (the one part that doesn't leave me shaking my head at the descent into self-parody of a once-great newspaper). I don't often get vicariously annoyed at infringements of PC-ness, but it did get my goat when the parents of the 13-year-old girl who called him a rude name got all uppity about good manners!
