and has it worked for you? What nationality? What figures? And your reason for using it or not. I have German cavalry from Crusader miniatures and I read anything I can in support of it's use. German FM's, Guides, historical accounts. Right now I'm reading "We Will See Tomorrow" by Max Huhnert. It chronicles his experience during the war as a scout for an infantry company and how much they relied on their horses.

My current German force is a command, 2 infantry sections, motorcycles and a horse mounted cavalry section (with dismounts)…and a few other bits and bobs…looking to add a Rad6/8. Keep the force light and true to a recon section. I'm not a "Power Player". I'd rather go with a historical basis to my army then lets say a tank wall…

I'd love to build a French unit based on a GRDI with horsed cav, motorcycles, AMDs, and AMRs. Crusader has the mounted cav, I just need to figure out dismounted figs and cycles. There's an account of a German mounted recon unit swimming the Escaut under fire in _Dunkirk: fight to the last man_.

Crusader make French with Carbines that could work as dismounted cavalry… as for cycles, I don't know…

I bought a 1930s Chinese Warlord army at a convention that includes cavalry. I think the figures are some kind of Old Glory steppe horsemen. They are quite effective in BA because iirc they get double hits in CC and no negative penalty as a target for being on horseback. I feel slightly guilty when I use them!

Never feel guilt when using cavalry. Your opponent wont feel guilty when he's using a machine gun. Or how about those tank guys?
