Hi,
I'm looking for a set of rules playable on my 4'× 4' tabletop.
Thanks.

I play all my games on a 4 x 4. What scale figure are you using? For roughly platoon per side, you should try TFL's Through the Mud and the Blood, and the excellent scenario book Stout Hearts and Iron Troopers.

I am also going to be doing this eventually with 5 Core Skirmish in 20mm as soon as I get my trenches painted.

Both should fit. You could also look at Baccus's 6mm range and try either Great War Spearhead or (another project I am considering) 5 Core Company Commander to handle a reinforced company in the attach.

For a very different game you could mark a grid of 6 inch squares, 8 wide by 6 deep and play Square Bashing which has about a division per side. It depends on what size figures you are using.

For a turnkey game, I'd go with the new Command and Colors variation of WW 1. Minis, rules, complete game.

Think of it as Memoir 44 in the trenches.

I second Lucius Recommendation .A very good game and if you wish to expand your forces on a bigger play area you have a head start on the miniatures too.

If I can find it, I have some notes someone did for a WW1 FiveCore skirmish mod.
Maybe I should dig that up again and do something with it..

It'll be a while.

Actually, years back, I had done a little WW1 game called Trench Storm for the US distributors of IT miniatures but the company doesn't exist any more.

Watch this space, I just realized something.
