Actually bare headed is more accurate and I'm not referring to my increasing lack of need of a barber's attentions. Anyway, I am after a source of separate 28mm heads without headdress suitable for the Napoleonic Wars. I was very kindly gifted a couple of dozen metal heads a while ago but they are all used up now.

Can anyone suggest a good source?

Ah, a Marquis of Granbury devotee, it seems….

Try here – the range is designed for the AWI, but a bare head is a bare head in just about any period:-

My understanding is that "going at it bald headed" referred to the period when men wore wigs over a bald head – "going at it bald headed" meant getting stick in without worrying about your wig…so bald heads might be just the thing for WSS etc.

And as has been pointed out, the Marquis of Granby had it happen to him…

Steve Barber does spare (bare)heads for his ACW. Redoubt do bare heads too (ACW and Poss ECW?) I picked up a load at SAlute from Steve and a few from the redoubt factory, all good althouh beard styles may be a bit un napoleonic.

Have you thought of the Perry plastic Ansar packs? There are several bald heads in there on each frame.

Perhaps if you find someone who wants to build the figures with the long hair?
