I have come across a very slender artists palette knife. Link – link |

That looks like a great tool, I've had to file down larger palette knives to get something similar. But you didn't give any info about who makes it or how to get it. |

Sorry – I bought it from a £1.00 GBP cheap bin in a UK art shop last year. It looks like a generic piece but on the handle its says ' RGM Pro-Grip Italy'. I frequent art shops and had not noticed one before or since. Looking online, they seem to have 5 and 6 knife sets available, though neither have the super slim knife amongst them. EDIT – even knife number 61 here seems too wide, as my knife has very straight sides (i.e. no belly) …. link link |

You could also use one of these archival micro spatulas. link I have an old one from work which had the larger end break off. Works well with 25/28mm size figures. Jim |

Norm, that was a great find. You could have bought up the stock and made a profit amongst this hobby group! I'm going to have to keep my eyes peeled for something similar – my improvised use of a knife, cocktail sticks and the 'wrong' end of a small paint brush does the job but only just. |

2nd dental tools. But you don't need the expensive professional ones. I use cheap Chinese stuff. I've picked some up at gun shows, but anyone who goes to HMGS East cons should check the Harmony House booth. Jeff is always finding useful little things for low prices. I bought one of those headband magnifiers from him some years ago for $10 USD,much cheaper than you see elsewhere, use it all the time. |
