Hello everyone,
I'm finishing slowly (as it allows me the sweltering heat) some ships.
The first ship I want to show is a French frigate. Hébé class.

My client wanted a ship with all sails folded. (It's my first boat I do it this way)

I hope you like it

Best regards,
Julián

Would they have the hammocks in the racks if they weren't cleared for action? (I'm assuming they're not cleared for action).

Julian, that's just beautiful!

Beautiful ship !!

Some ship captains often had the men bring up their hammocks to the deck to air them out After a long voyage the hammocks would be filthy and full of … let's say little creatures besides the sailor

BillyFish: Langton miniatures boat comes with hammocks. I can not remove the hammocks, it is an integral part of the hull.
We are talking about boats 1/1200 scale. This boat has a size of 5 cm.

First I found 1/700 but now I have found 1/800 both work very well in Sail of glory and langton ships

Adding crew to 1/1200 sailing ships really raises the bar!

Great work!

1/800 equals approximately 3/32 of an inch for a 6 foot man. That could work. These Eduard figures come from the Czech Republic, but are sold and shipped from the Lotsofmodels ebay store in Missouri, USA. I am buying sets 17505, 17507, and 17508.

Oh and Julian told me he made the stepped oars in the one boat from left over ratline sprue. Pretty cool!
