Not to be confused with the similar (but different) Viking female warrior. |

A "Vicking" is a Norseman (M/F) with a typo. A "Viking" is a Norseman (M/F) who goes rogue. Most people here use the word in general, but the original Vikings were pirates, Norsemen "going Viking". ("Vicking" BTW is probably a better way to write: "Viking" will probably sound like "V ai king", while actually pronouncing would result in Vicking as the "Vick" in Vicksburg). This is of course because of the Anglosaxon pronouncement of words, like lots of people still write "Lieb Garde" (or something like that), while the actual writing in German is "Leib Garde" (Bodyguard). "Lieb" means "lovely"… |

In norwegian it's pronounced Veeking As inn week with a v then king. Ofcorse old norse has somewhat different sound then modern norwegian, (like with exception of some names, norwegian donsnt have the "th" sound) but old norse had lots of it. |

Oh!. Impossible to believe! But you've outdone yourself Disco Joe … three threads to stress upon that I made a mistake writing a word? … (smile) I would like to see your messages in Spanish, French or another language … in other forums… Ha!Ha! Congratulations !! Amicalement Armand |

Some folks read this thread and think, wow, that is a nice miniature. Some folks read this thread and think, Lagertha sure is hot! Other folks pick nits on spelling. |

Kyle, so in other words if you were at work and had to create a written document correct spelling would not be an issue because after all close enough is good enough? Armand, are you to busy to re-read and check spelling before posting? True it is not as if you can just go out and check it out on your computer. Oh wait actually it is easy to do that. Not like the old days when you had to look it up in a dictionary. |

When you post your thread… there is no way back to fixed the tittle… you can managed with the text, pictures, etc… but not the tittle. It's so important if anyone made a mistake in one word?… Usually Bill corrected this… not in this case… but hey! you are loosing your sleep for a nonsense! (smile). The only important thing here is if the miniature is good, bad, useful, etc… not if there are a little mistake in writting… specially if english is not your language!. But hey!… I understand you Disco Joe!!… as I have said… con-gra-tu-la-tions!! (smile). Hope to see you again in another word mistake!… Have a great day!. Armand |

Luckily it has taken me two years or more to paint my Vikings so I can add in this figure and the Ragnar!!! I recall Legertha's spanking leading to a lot of blood and loss of limb/life, might want to rethink that request And of all the music genres disko ranks as the worst, maybe one step above trance….. Thanks for the heads up Armand and Hasslefree – When can we buy? |

It's a lovely figure and I'll certainly buy it when available. Would have preferred her with a sword instead of an 'un womanly' ax but that's personal preference and easily converted. |
