Does anyone have recent experience with SHQ? I am looking at their ECW range (cautious due to lack of photos) and I may jump on it. However, the website looks designed 18 years ago, and with no photos to boot, I am rather hesitant. So, has anyone recently ordered from them? Have you used the ECW figures before? How is their overall quality? If possible, please inform me of any other 20mm manufacturers that produce ECW or Renaissance figures. |

Captain; Haven't ordered them myself, but please check out this blog by Dux Homunculorum: link This is the most complete review and comparison of available 1/72 ECW figures that I have seen. You'll have to scroll all the way back to the first post (just the way that Blogger works*), but he has personally painted most of the available plastics, SHQ and Tumbling Dice. He also looks at all of the other ranges that I know of in both metal and plastic, compares them, discusses mixing them, and so on. Excellent coverage of the subject and he does have lots of pics. * When you first pull the link up, scroll to the bottom and then click "older posts" to get back to part 1. A bit of a minor pain, but then you can walk all the way through the series. Bill |
