"Mon Mothma paced the bridge of her command ship. She smiled at some of the crew, trying to calm their nerves as reports from probes were coming in, indicating an Imperial defense fleet was on its way. Mon Mothma was confident in the starships in her task force- three stout Assault Frigates, and two recently defected Nebulon Bs. The crews, however, were mostly green and untested. She did not know that the Imperial task force en route was led by Admiral Screed himself- a veteran of many wars and a man with a vile reputation." link |

Very nice looking, especially that terrain. I do ask… What the heck is the fun of a game with NO fighters? In my local group we've ignored the 100 point limit… Bring what you will, because fighters are cool!:$ |

Wow, can't believe the Imperials only had Tie Bombers and the Rebels had no fighters. That's gotta hurt! Even a couple of A-wing squadrons would have made a huge difference there. |

They would've helped, but with Chrienau/Corruptor, they can't tie up the bombers too effectively. |

An Imperial walk-over. Any ideas why? Bad ship selection, bad deployment, bad ship handling, bad luck? Nice report, however! |

Everyone is fixating on the fighters, and while I did do some damage with them, you can't ignore that they collectively ate up 63 of my points. They were worth it since Sean had no fighter support, but another cheap ship would've been nice too. Sean lost this one on deployment in my opinion. I was able to bring a whole lot to bear on his most expensive stuff. The AF MKII can take a beating, but it can't take that beating forever.
You can see that once we start mixing it up, I am hitting Sean's 2 AFs with 80% of my fleet. Sean has just over 50% of his fleet in the scuffle on the right. All about economy of force! |
