Dear Gentlemen,

Please allow me to show you my Garde de Paris ready to fight at Bailén and its short history:

Hello, Oriol!

You had me in quite a panic! I have never been to Spain! A clear case of mistaken identity.

Great-looking troops. I enjoy the Victrix plastic French and British!

One of the first units I ever painted, using 30mm Stadden metals from The 1960's, was the green-coated, scarlet facings Garde de Paris, using 38 figures to represent a battalion of the 9-company era (4 grenadiers; 6 voltigeurs; 7 center companies of 4 each). Just as you have done, my voltigeurs were in bearskins, with yellow over green plumage. I understood the GdeP entered Spain along with the "German" Division of the IV Corps – brigaded with the 2-battalion Hessen Gros und Erb Prinz regiment; and the Frankfurt battalion.

I am adding your website to my favorites! Great-looking units that served in Spain – red-coated Spanish cuirassiers, Ultonia, Chasseurs de Montagne and others.

Thank you for letting us see you fine collection! I am adding your link to my favorites.

Ha ha, Thank you for your kind comments. Who knows, maybe sometime you come to visit north eastern Spain, in that case, contact me!

Very nice, yes the Victrex plastics are useful and I do like them (though my big thumbs don't do well with the bayonets :( tend to cut them off and replace with broom bristles)
Cheers nice unit to paint up to well done.
