Comments or corrections?

Two days ago I posted on the Napoleonic Discussion Message Board under the heading "Defination of a Wargamer". There were a few replies, but next day the subject had disappeared from the board.

I asked what had happened, and was told that it was because there was a spelling error in the subject. There was also a link where it had gone to, but I could not understand which board it was on.

The next day my second post has also disappeared

I have searched for the subject but can not find it.

If there was a spelling error would it not appear on the Napoleonic Discussion Message Board with the correct spelling?

How can I get it reinstated on the Napoleonic Discussion Message Board?

BOTH of your topics are under Wargaming in General, where they belong.

The Editor feels quite rightly that that is the ONLY place where they belong. Obviously he has no intention of having them appear under every Board on TMP.

Spelling errors are corrected only in titles. That does not change where they are posted.

If you want to follow the discussion, either go to Wargaming in General, to visit it, or turn that Board ON.

I presume that the OP is referring to these threads:

Thanks for explaining why and where the subject had been moved to.

Thanks also for suggesting that I turn on the Wargaming in General board.

I have always used the Napoleonic Discussion as my main board, and I had not realised that there was such a strong discipline on TMP regarding what subjects should be posted on which board.

I had never used Wargaming in General, and had not turned that board on. So when I searched for the subject I could not find it.

I can now see that Wargaming in General is the correct board to post this question.

However I am a little surprised that I am not allowed to cross post it to Napoleonic Discussion board.

Because it has nothing to do with the campaigns of Napoleon perhaps?

specificity uber alles!

If you had wanted to discuss the topic purely in the Napoleonic context, then you could have started a thread called "The Definition of a Napoleonic Wargamer" and posted it only to the Napoleonic discussion board.
