I picked up the In Her Majesty's Name rulebook today and having given it a quick flick through, I'd love to start collecting some minis for use with it.

I've already looked at the fabulous Northstar range as well as Westwind's Empire of the Dead miniatures and am planning to pick some up. Just wondering if there were any other good 28mm Victorian sci-fi/horror ranges I should consider.

Thanks :)

Take a look at Ironclad Miniatures -

ironcladminiatures.co.uk

They have a lot of good figures, especially single castings.

You can find a very nice Dr. Jekyl and Mr Hyde as well as a Capt Nemo and Invisible Man at Parroom Station.

I think you can get Parroom figures from Brigade Games. Brigade Games also has the Captain Nemo and crew set from Westwind Miniatures.

I hope to do the League myself one day.

Brigade no longer carries the Parroom Station line. Im not sure what the status of the range is.

Malifaux has some figures that could be useful.

You should check out the Facebook group – plenty of suggestions for figures there.

I wish Northstar had done more, even though I know one of the things about is about raiding catalogs. I would love a box set of all the other 'personalities' in the books though….

Victoria Miniatures out of Oz makes some excellent figures.

I also love Empress Miniatures for more historical British.

You may want to look at my blog vbir.blogspot.com for more info. Especially the most recent issue of The Aethergraph, which is dedicated to IHMN and has some official rules in it.

RAFM's Space:1889 range has some well sculpted civilians.

Just to pipe up, doesn't HAVE to be Vicky sci-fi or horror. Nick's brilliant Brick Lane Commune is near historical. Even a mundane can pack a respectable right hook.

AND, a little imagination goes a long way.

There is indeed an embarrassment of riches out there at the moment.
As IHMN is actually VSF and not Steampunk there is also all the historical ranges for the late Victorian period that can be useful.
Not to forget many of the Pulp ranges some of whom's figures are 'backwards compatible' such as the Back of Beyond and Pulp Alley ranges.
I hope this helps,
Craig.
