Has anyone noticed a problem with Yahoo Groups not getting updated? Posts have not changed since yesterday morning. |

In this day and age, I am surprised that Yahoo groups is still even being used. I am subscribed to approx 3 dozen of them, and none of them update regularly and I have pretty much forgotten about them until you made this post…. Some of my groups if I am lucky might get one post every 2-3 mos… |

I've not noticed a problem (and was on one of my groups earlier today). Some groups are pretty active (of those I am a member of AMWGroup, RFCM and Great War Spearhead have all had posts in the last seven days), others are moribund. I like the Yahoo groups format (although the "modernization" a while ago made them less user/moderator friendly) and can't think of a better alternative. |

I'm with Murphy here. The last "update" worked on me: I gave up on them. Yahoo has been trying to kill them for years becasue they are such big money losers for them… |

Yep, the whole "Neo" experiment forced me to open a forum, but I'm not seeing any issues today. What Neo did was force me to post the forum link, and not the Yahoo group, in all the current rules. Much more activity on the forum. |

I don't think the lack of activity in so many of the Yahoo groups is due solely to the Neo format. Many had little use even before Neo. I have to agree that the Neo format is awful. It is not user friendly. I don't know how many groups have established other forums or Facebook accounts. Any way to find out? |

Now I am getting nostalgic for the old DBM Mailing list from 1995. Never any problems there, except the never ending discussion of the Khazr Mounted Drill Team… |

Had fresh posts today on 4 of the groups to which I subscribe, including one I own. |

I only use them for scheduling games in my groups. And them those imbeciles and omodhauns keep changing how it's done. |

If folks (and this isn't a shot at anyone) would post on the groups they belong to on a more regular basis, the groups would stay healthy and active. It is hard to be a group owner and have to drive the content nearly single-handed. So I say go post something (related to the group subject) on each of your groups today and help jump start them a bit! |

I am in the process of dropping my yahoo group and starting my own blog. I find it very annoying that as I scroll through past posts the screen resets to refresh the advertising and sends me right back to the top of the page. |

I agree that Yahoo Groups isn't optimum, but I am not aware of any better alternatives out there. |

I agree with Buckeye the groups are what your members make of it, participation is the key. |

If I don't check them about once a week they delete my account. Now I know why. |
