Hi all, The completion of the second battalion of the 96e Ligne moves the second French line regiment in Victor's I Corps a bit closer to completion.
The 96e Ligne had a busy first nine months in the Peninsular War taking part in five significant engagements as Napoleon's forces drove into the north and centre of Spain. The regiment was never far from the action with Colonel Cales wounded at Somosierra Pass and would suffer a similar fate at Talavera. Well done again, another fantastic looking battalion. I really like how you make each unit look distinctive. |

Schweet! You must have amassed quite a contingent by now! But well done for taking your time and painting them to such a high standard. |

carojan: You figures are great and I find the regimental information you include on the outfits you have modeled facinating. Thanks, John Miller |

Thanks for your comments chaps. The collection is growing steadily and will set things up for future Peninsular War projects requiring lots of French line infantry. The third battalion is in progress and I will be putting together a tutorial on the way I paint French line infantry for those that are interested. Thanks again JJ |
