I confess my favorite movie genre is love not war. I'd rather watch Pride & Prejudice or Ever After than most war or action flicks. So, is your favorite movie genre one you also game? |

My favorite film genre (after porn, of course, which is gard to game) is "whatever I am in the mood for," which is also my favorite gaming genre. But rarely do they intersect at a more detailed level. |

Interesting, I never thought it through in those terms. I'm a big fan of Asian Cinema going back to the late 60's; I've been involved in the Martial Arts (Wing Chun) for 30+ years and I game the late Edo Period so, yes, it is. |

Dear Extra Crispy. I'm with you. I'd rather watch a good costume drama or one of those Ernst Lubitsch society comedies from the 30's and 40's than a war film. The war films I do like are.. Since you Went Away Random Harvest Mrs. Minniver The best years of our lives. I confess to being addicted to "Cabaret" and "Chicago." For Japanese films, it's "Rashamon" and "The Drum Teacher." The other film that I like is "Bridge to Terebithia"a though I have to steel myself to watch it because it's so sad. |

Oh, I forgot I love Paths of Glory but that's really an anti-stupidity film. |

I like comedies, and quite often it is apropos to my game play. |

I don't really have a favourite genre, although I used to be quite a film buff & have a fair few favourite films, such as "The Searchers", "My Favourite Year". "Sons of the Desert", "The Life & Death of Col Blimp", "American Graffiti", "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes", "The Cruel Sea", "Hero", "Blade Runner", etc. I guess most are gameable, but that said, I mainly game fantasy, with the rare WWII or rarer Ancients game. |

I'd rather watch Pride & Prejudice or Ever After than most war or action flicks. So, yes. I like action flicks, so mine is eminently gameable. I hate drama on the screen … think it is much better on the stage or on a book. Comedy is tolerable on the screen, but I have a hard time dealing with it for an hour and a half in that medium. Suspense movies are OK. There are no more horror movies, only gore. |
