Excellent figures from a master craftsman. So full of character and action. I am currently reading The Indian Mutiny By Saul David (2002) to get up to speed. I would appreciate any other titles on the subject, especially with wargame scenarios in mind. Thanks Armand. |

GW Forest: A History of the Indian Mutiny. Three great volumes of almost entirely military history, with great maps. OOBs, etc. over 1500 pages. The book was written about 1900, but was reprinted in an Indian edition in 2007. You can find it through Amazon for about $78.00 USD US. |

Much obliged, dbf1676. EDIT: dbf1676, following your book suggestion I have found a link to a free read-over of the George Forrest book. link I have had a quick glance and it appears to be there but time does not permit me to look at it in greater detail at the moment. Hopefully, it is all there, readable, and FREE! Further EDIT: It looks like it is Volume II, only. |

Captain E: Nice find. The two pages that you have opened up to show the level of detail, including the number of officers, NCOs, and men of the 78th Foot the evening before the entry of Lucknow for what became known as the First Relief and the weather the following morning. |
