Turkey is also going to allow the use of two of their air bases for U.S. air strikes. I'm sure Erdogan thought he was immune from ISIS operations. Nice wake up call! |

One thought was that the Turks would pass the bombing incident off, since the people killed were mostly Kurdish Socialists. Guess not. Anyway, Daesh has attacked a Turkish border post. Will the Turkish army cross the Syrian border? If not, how will they wage war against Daesh? If they do, in what sector will they cross? Syrian Kurdistan? Will it be a friendly invasion? So many questions… |

I think he should receive the same support he's provided to us, and the Kurds, in Syria, e.g. nothing. |

I see they're using it as an excuse to round up anti-government types in general – Kurds and "leftists". But at least they're killing Daesh now. |

Yes, I agree it is about time. I saw this on CNN yesterday and this morning. But the Turk – Kurd conflict might still be the rub ? Which may be why Daesh, decided to start their crusade in Turkey's direction. I won't be satisfied until many of the Turk military assets rolls across borders and goes Deash hunting. |

I imagine, based upon their own leader's rhetoric, that if they do roll across the border, they'll probably go after the Kurds first, and only Daesh, if they happen to get in the way. |

@Mako: Sadly, I agree with your prediction. |

Quite true, the Kurds are Turkey's first concern. Fact is, Turkey letting go and allowing a Kurdish state that may (subject to free elections) include areas currently in Turkey would be a massive stabilising influence in the area. |
