After my first few Battlefleet Gothi ships, here are some very different ones. Studio Bergstrom models. Still struggling with getting the look I want but these are certainly good enough to game with! A carrier and two battleships.

Constructive criticism welcomed and encouraged.

Like the color scheme but it needs some additional detail or color. A hull number or national symbol? Perhaps some warning stripes?

Those look great to me; better than the pics on Drew's site.

I do like Allen's suggestion on a some additional color detail, but stark is good, too! Looks menacing…

The finish at present is perfect for space pirates or clandestine ops/mercs IMHO. A simple insignia and/or a hull number would take the model(s) to the next level as actual military vessels.

The lower front of the ship however just screams for a razor-toothed shark mouth design, but then again that's just my sense of humor talking… evil grin

Yeah, I have some decals on order. I love the shark mouth idea but there are a lot of ships in this fleet and that's a lot of teeth yo have to paint….

Mark,
What rules and Universe you going to use?

Well, I own/publish/sell "Starship" which is 2.5D – to me 2D space games are just boats in space and leave me cold.

I'm just going to stat up my fleets for Starship and probably make up my own fluff….

When I want a really fast, furious and fun game I'll probably adapt "War Rocket" or something like that…

Looking good.

If pressed I might perhaps add some weathering/wear and tear.

Those look really good, as Parzival said, they hardly look like what's up on the SB page. I'll have to get some now that I see their potential!

@Lonkka: They have been dry brushed but I struggle with how to get the look right. The color is subtle and doesn't show in the photos very well. It's all those flat surfaces I struggle with.

@Boy Wundr: Thanks. Yes, what I've seen of his models so far are very nice.

Unless you think that your star ship enters the atmosphere or lands, you'd only ever have battle or collusion (another ship or asteroid/meteorite damage) showing.

I'm not sure why one would not make them bright and colorful. Not like you'd need camouflage in space.

And they are well painted.

Mark,
I like Task Force Zeta. Tons of options and then you can interface it with the ground rules at either small or large scale.

Yeah, just bought those, will give them a look.

charles popp23 Jul 2015 7:47 p.m. PST

Be nice to do a med scale campaign with space and ground.
