Hi all, I have been a bit of a fan of Defiance since it started, and have also been watching Syfy's new show Dark Matter since that started a few weeks ago (over here in the UK). Now I like D-M but I think Defiance still edges it out. So simple question really, which do you like better of the two? Cheers Roger. |

Defiance so far but Dark Matter has not had as long to flesh out the universe. I have only seen the first couple episodes of Dark Matter. |

Not happy yet with the direction in the new season of Defiance (I've only watched the season opener), so Dark Matters. I kind of like the theme of redemption in the latter--we'll see if they stick with it. |

It's a difficult choise! I like Defiance… even with their low moments… Dark Matter remember me Firefly! (smile) So… for the moment… Defiance!. Amicalement Armand |

Dark Matter (and Killjoys!) are fun, and I look forward to them every week. I'm also watching Defiance. I'm mostly caught up. |

Defiance is great, Killjoys is good fun. |

Not so impressed with Dark Matter. I'm still watching it, but it's high on my list to dump. |

Dark Matter could still go somewhere if they would advance the plot a bit. I am a total Defiance fanboy but I agree it's off to "meh" start. |

Defiance. If they made it into the Datak & Stahma Tarr show, I would be just as happy… :) Damon. |

Both equally-writing, acting, photography etc. Both are derivatives of other shows but when done well I have no complaints. Women look hot and the guns are great. Defiance has a Fallout feel, Dark Matter has that Firefly sensibility. The only one better than both is Orphan Black. |

Defiance. Even my wife is beginning to turn into a sci-fi geek because she's caught up in it. She loves Stama the most. I've been watching some of Dark Matter and I might get interested in it. |

I watch all three (defiance, DM and Killjoys). I'd rather have these shows than any more sharktopocalypse movies. Killjoys is just a fun romp. Dark matter is deeper "are we more than the sum of our memories" stuff, and Defiance is the post-apoc new frontier adventure. |

One episode of Killjoys was enough for me. Tried Defiance several times but it just didn't take. I'll look into Dark Matter now. |

Saw our first episode of DM tonight. Like the look, like the mystery of the lost memories (and whoever is trying to kill them). Needs a bit of script work to liven things up a bit-- it's no Firefly. Might have a bit too much stock character feel to it. But all in all, we thought it was watchable, and will return again. (Kind of annoyed that DM isn't available on Uverse On Demand. Defiance is, so why not DM? Seems to me if you want to build an audience for a show with a strong ongoing story arc, letting potential viewers catch up is an obvious idea. After all, profit is made on ratings-- that is, number of people watching-- so why not do all you can to boost it? |

It not being firefly is a good thing. That show really wasn't that good. It wasn't cancelled – it was euthanised. |
