Hello all, I've been searching for the old F/W/C line to round out some french lancers for my Quatre Bras forces and it appears they are no longer in business. Would the AB line of lancers work to fill in the missing troopers? As an aside, I'm looking for Fantassin codes: 5xFFC-16, 1xFFC-17, 1xFFC-15c if anyone has them for trade/sale… Thanks in advance. Madcam. |

link The link should take you to Stonewallfigures, which manufactures the Fantassin/Warmodeling figures. Size wise Fantassin and AB are close in size, but the sculpting on AB is, as expected, much finer. |

Madcam: I have the codes you are looking for – and I think I have all the packs you need: link Take heart! They are not out of business. The company has been sold and the molds etc. are being moved from Spain to the UK. I am their US dealer and we have been in regular communication. They even have a (small) batch of new releases. It is taking some time to get back in to full production, but all of their ranges will be back this year. When they are back, I'll have them in stock. I've mixed AB and Warmodelling a few times and they mix really well. Here is a Prussian landwehr unit, and I can't remember which are which on some of the sculpts. link Colin |

Just go with AB. Sizewise they match but AB are streets ahead in terms of sculpting quality. |

Yes the company is in the business, Capitan Miniatures is the Spanish company that is the owner of all the rights of the Warmodelling Catalogue and Capitan Miniatures range. Captain Games Ltd. has appointed as worldwide exclusivist of all the ranges of the Spanish company, and the full catalogue will be available in a very, very, short time.. stay connected… Scale Creep is the US dealer and he will have shortly a full stock so ask Mark about what you want.. |

Good to know! Been wondering when they will be available. Thanks for the update! |
Capitan Games | 22 Jul 2015 3:00 p.m. PST |
Stonewall is one of our dealers in UK but not manufactures the miniatures, obviously there is only one manufacturer. |

As the previous agent for Warmodelling in the UK and now a director of Capitan Games Ltd, I still have some stock of the old figures. If Madcam would like to e-mail me with confirmation of his needs, I'll advise if I have them and arrange payment and shipping to him. mike@capitangames.com |

To steamingdave47, I would say our figures are not that much adrift of AB in quality although we are having to look at some of the moulds to see if they need attention. But check out the value for money aspect… |

I'd say that was a fair appraisal from mike0liver in terms of Fantassin/Warmodelling/Captain human figures. While the detail can't realistically be said to be as good as AB (though few figures in any scale are), they are very well proportioned and animated, and can mix nicely within the same unit with AB figs. AB horses are better than any other range by a long way however. |

I'd be the first to underscore the beauty of Tony Barton's absolutely magnificent AB Napoleonics. However, one very slight criticism is that all of the figures are physically built the same (slim) and are of the same height. Sprinkling in a few Warmodelling/Fantassin figures here and there lends a lot more "character" to any unit. These figures are less consistent in size and girth. Some are smaller and some quite a bit larger than the AB's. The poses are a bit less uniform too. I'm glad to hear that they will continue in production! I have Austrian and Bavarian units with about 5/6th AB's, and 1/6th Warmodelling. |

are there any warmodelling figures available, otherwise this is just a theoretical question |
Eclipsing Binaries | 13 Aug 2015 4:10 p.m. PST |
British are available now. Others may be available from the likes of Stonewall or Campaign Games. |

I can't seem to find the Vistula Legion there Capitan. Could you confirm they are available too. I need to buy some. Thanks. |
mike0liver | 27 Aug 2015 3:38 a.m. PST |
The Vistular Legion figures are listed under Grand Duchy of Warsaw: link You can order them now. Shipment is still scheduled for next month but some orders have been shipped already to test the logistics, so some customers may already have received figures. |
