So which of the two will you credit with the capture?

Daft I know. Solo, I suspect neither would have managed it, but 200 years on still debated.

Favourite bit? How you carried the shading onto the officer's gold overall stripe.

Wrong flag though, you'll have to redo it all. 1st Royals captured 45th of the Line Eagle………….

Wow

That is downright outrageous! Beautiful work, Sascha. It looks like you have muted the muscle tone on the horses also, absolutely brilliant!

I was going to start working on this set sometime during the weekend. After seeing yours I may just hold off for a while because I can't come anywhere close to that. Fabulous work.

Don't stop. Be inspired. Your's will be your's and, so, will always be better. I always save images like this and use the ideas, adapted. Mine would be far more muddy, I use far more muted colours……..hell, mine will be dull. We all develop our own "style" even if less skillful.

I could not shade and highlight to that standard.

I will not use every technique shown here, but, that stripe on the overalls…that is clever. Learn from every image that impresses you….and adapt
