Looking for some good reviews on this rule set/s. I'm specifically looking for the SYW supplement information but will take both.

Thanks

This is a Fire & Fury variant. The SYW has a scant page or two of rules mods, but the book is mostly scenarios, army lists, etc. I sell both and they do well.

You need Age of Eagles to use Age of Honor.

A nice choice for gaming big battles of the period.

Fully supported on the yahoo group

Got the AOE, looking forward to a game, they read well and I think I understand them, (which is unusual) If I am reading there site correctly you don't need to buy the SYW variant as the rules and amended play sheet are available to download free. The problem comes trying to work out army lists, which I would like to do for my SYW which are sitting on the shelves looking bored. I cant find a supplier in the UK so will just keep my eyes open on ebay.

I own AoE and am a huge fan of the rules in play, reading/understanding them is not complicated, (and I'm no mental giant when it comes to understanding rule sets) any issues you may have are easily cleared up with the yahoo group, ordering and buying the rules a piece of cake.

As for the AoH I haven't looked in to into it, so I don't know.

The rules for AoE get me support, I don't see any short comings at all!!

Can you play a game in a 4 hour period?

smolders22 Jul 2015 7:22 a.m. PST

Yes, I have played some smaller games in under 4 hours, but usually we wrap up after the conclusion is clear, not scenario end.

It's pretty good. I've played it a few times and it makes the best of the periods without going off the deep end. More impressive to me was that the game seems to avoid arguments and destructive down time over excessive rules look ups. I've seen Age of Honor played twice at "The Weekend" convention, and the games were very good.
