Remember back in 2005, when I promised pictures of those Sumerian chariot stands in 6mm?

Showing on Spike right now. We are an hour and a half into it. I had thought of a fun drinking game, a shot every time I see something historically accurate.

The bottle is still sealed.

They didn't show it snowing, did they…I hate that.

You're not trying hard enough.

There was a place called Egypt. Shot!
Egyptians lived there. Shot!
It was mostly desert. Shot!
It was centered on the Nile. Shot!
The ruler was called Pharaoh. Shot!

Yes, I set the bar low.

We didn't see the Nile, and "king" was used as often as Pharaoh…

The nice thing about this is that History is running an Ancient Egypt documentary marathon. While basic, and sometimes incorrect, they are fun for us to watch together.

I thought I was watching the YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS!

I know, right?

Saw this. Just silly really. Costume/armour etc….obviously took zero note from historical advisors. Also black Egyptians….very normal as Nubians next to Egypt and respected when not at war. Mitanni king black…..Just as silly as Brad Pitt playing Shaka Zulu king.
