Added to my 20mm Lehr collection for Normandy. These are the PSC kits. Very smart build, the usual fettling, drilling out gun bore and muzzle brake, fitting ariels. Replaced the Schürzen brackets with some bent sprue and thinned down the edge of the plates a little ( about 10 mins work). The Schürzen plates still more than robust enough as the fit at mudgaurd level is very accurate. Various stowage, PSC,MMS, Value Gear and scratch built.
and just in case you come across any verdant fields………..same vehicle but wearing a 'coat'
havent used that technique since the Airfix magazine days and sisal string. L |

:) Gotta hate these kit modelling types who pretend to be gamers Leon. Cheers, beautifully done and happy gaming. |

Ah Zargon, The world is full of gamers who model a bit and modellers who game a bit. In my case I model better than I game lol L |

Lovely work!! Airbrush camo on 1/72 scale, delicate work. Very nice weathering as well. I'm a gamer who models, mine don't look anything like this! |

Love the applied greenery. My son wants to do something similar on hos tanks. I was going to let him use clump foliage but that looks pretty tasty. Any guides put there please? |

Marc the plastics fan, Well its just static grass, PVA glue with a bit of added paint and dust. If its intended as permanent than can just put it straight on the vehicle. In this case its removable ( its the same STUG in the pics with and without). Its done by making a mat with fine black plastic netting ( found in haberdasheries like CH fabrics). Make up a paper template and use this to cut out the netting to the right shape. then add grass with a heavy application of PVA on a smooth 'glassy' surface ( a bit of card covered in parcel tape does it). Fiddle the grass to the right look and leave to dry overnight. Trim to shape/add a bit more grass and then when dry add a bit of colour. A few very small bits of blu tack keeps it in place. Sounds long winded ( took longer type this than to do it lol) Its an old, old technique from way back. L |
