I don't have the "poetic spirit" to appreciate the diorama, but I live in Japan, and this looks pretty lifelike. Only one criticism; with the hills there, perhaps tea fields would be more likely than rice paddies. :)

I did a Google search for "terraced rice paddies" and found a fair representation of what is shown on the diorama :)
