Well the wargamers will have little interest, understandably. But, as an obsessional neurotic, I found this fascinating. Every museum has some relic in their collection that somehow does not "ring true". I do love to see such forensic analysis by real experts. Reminds me of Le Caillou and all its souvenirs of Boney's stay, which is odd……… when the Prussians burnt it to the ground the day after the battle… |
