I am gluing magnets to the bottom of my ships for gaming purposes. So when I went to paint them I thought I'd look in the hardware box for long nails to hold them with. No nails, but I had these enormous carriage bolts left over from our last house. Perfection! Not only are they ferrous, but by sticking the ship to the SIDE of the bolt head you can actually leave it to dry on a flat surface without it rolling around…..Studio Bergstrom models in progress…..

nice, at some point down the road I'm going to have to get the remainder of my B5 fleet action stuff painted. I have Vorlons, Shadows, and Narn to finish up. might use your idea. |

Nice work, but you still have a ways to go to qualify for HARDCORE.

I use (the heads of ) nails driven into small wooden blocks (3" or 4" square)- scrap & leftover from a bathroom remodeling. Much more tactile. |
