Here are some more renders of the Spanish command figures which can be used as officers or standard bearers plus 1 of the slingers. There is another slinger to come and some musician arms. Hopefully more renders next week of the finalised Unarmoured warriors and then on to the armoured figures. We are not that far off form starting the layup and tooling stage. Steve. |

Great looking figures Steve, loads of character. I prefer to field my slingers with bucklers – are you likely to include any? I can always use spare metal ones. Caetrati – will there be smaller round shields for this option? Thanks Garry |

Hi Garry, Really pleased you like the figures. Yes there will be bucklers for the slingers. Just finishing the second guys arm options and will add 2 small bucklers to the slinger frame. This is why they have clenched left fists. Just looking at adding a sword arm in the slingers as well so you can make an officer type figure. The second figure has spare slings hanging form his belt so would suit being an officer type who has packed his sling away. There will be small round or larger oval shield choices so you an make Scutarrii or Caetratii. Regards, Steve. |

A minor nit-pick: the slings should be straight – whether they are being swung or are just hanging by gravity. The top-left figure is the worst offender. Even if the slinger is just "spinning up", the stone would make the sling fly out straight. |
