A couple of months ago I started a post asking about the availability of very simple folded paper galleys. In the end I made my own by finding images online. I've since used them in a few games, and a friend of mine took a few pics, which are here:

One of the other players said, "I swore years ago that I would never play a game using pieces of paper, but I enjoyed this." Based on that (and the fun I had) I would say the paper models ended up working well to test the game and as a stopgap until I have the time to buy and paint some "proper figs".

Paper fleets seem to work better than paper soldiers. I like them both though. Your fleets look great. Do you have an online version of your rules?

Thanks Dynaman, Who asked this Joker,

I'm happy with how it turned out. The fleets were pretty easy to make and I could fit a couple dozen on a sheet of paper.

As for rules, I don't have them online yet, but I probably will. They're actually a variant of DBA 3.0, modified to represent (my take) on ancient fleet-level naval combat. I got the idea from the Hail Agrippa modification of Hail Caesar, but wanted something that plays more quickly.

Thanks for the comments.
