Very nice figures, but slightly overdressed perhaps? Wouldn't shoes and stockings be reserved for Sunday best?

Nice figs, nice paint jobs.To me they look more urban, or city chicks on an outing in the countryside. The middle one and the far right look maybe correct.

French peasant girls maybe (which would be consistent with the background building). But American frontier females would be neither so colorfully nor so immodestly dressed. And, as Musketier pointed out, they would probably be barefoot. And either bare-headed or in poke bonnets.

Yeah, I doubt that farm girls would wear stockings. And they would probably be dirtier.
