I have just spent the day playing a great Ancients game using TTS with my new(ish) Parthian Army, in a right old tussle with some imperial romans
The figures are a mix of foundry, A&A and Aventine; There are more photos and a brief write up of the game on my blog: emperorbaz.blogspot.co.uk |

Agreed nice looking armies, good AAR. Our group usually plays Armati 2. We tried our first game of "To The Strongest" a couple of weeks ago. It is quite different, but enjoyable nontheless. We had Romans vs Gauls. The Romans won. |

Great game – it's good to see a set of rules that gives a good match between these armies. |

They are terrific looking armies! I wish I owned a Parthian army, so bling-y. :-) |

Back in the 80's when we used to play WRG the Parthians more often won, but you are right it should be more of a close run thing. I fear had we have been using hail caesar we would still be playing now! |
