That table just rocks

Caliban11 Jul 2015 5:04 a.m. PST

Amazing scope and loads of detail at the same time. I like your use of Scalextric-type roads – really good for 'distressed' surfaces…

cloudcaptain11 Jul 2015 5:26 a.m. PST

Fantastic work! Digging the Atlanta expressway signs.

Spendlove11 Jul 2015 5:41 a.m. PST

I have been following your progress for the last few months. How you have the time, space and money for all of this is beyond me. Your wife deserves as many kudos as you do for this amazing zombie table.

What is the size of the table and when are you shipping the whole lot over to the UK for me to play on lol!

Private Matter11 Jul 2015 6:48 a.m. PST

Holy crap! That is amazing.

Lord Ashram11 Jul 2015 6:53 a.m. PST

Fantastic. Love the dense urban on the same table with suburbs and the rest. Looks like a ton of fun for a game! Great job.

Thanks to all!! I appreciate the great comments, they make me feel great, and I needed that.

AS far as time, ha….I do most of the work nightly after work, and catch up on the weekends. I am so burned out of painting right now…but that is only for a short while. I feel I need more zombies for the table. At least 150 more or so. I need a large herd of them.

But I only have 34 survivors.

Now I am starting to look into some rules, ATZ or AZT, someone mentioned some good zombie rules but I will have to go back and look again.

I just wish it wasn't so hot in the garage/game room….but its worth the sweat.

Top city. Great work.

Private Matter11 Jul 2015 5:17 p.m. PST

You mentioned rules so may I suggest All Things Zombie by Two Hour Wargames. They are great for co-op and solo play. I would love to have a table like yours to play ATZ.

jgibbons11 Jul 2015 5:35 p.m. PST

darclegion12 Jul 2015 8:37 a.m. PST

Thanks to all again. Those figures are 28mm, the Wargames factory ones.

I forgot to add the 3 large power tension lines, so I will be adding that pic in today.

Being employed by the Power Industry… NOW the table is complete!!! Noticed all the distribution lines, but without transmission…NO POWER! Awesome table. Would give a spare organ to game on it…

Stealth100013 Jul 2015 9:17 a.m. PST

Give Occult wars a try for zombie games.

Tekawiz15 Jul 2015 4:35 a.m. PST

dang.

post some bat reps when you get it going.

49mountain15 Jul 2015 10:23 a.m. PST

That is HUGE. What are the dimensions?

darclegion15 Jul 2015 3:30 p.m. PST

Thanks to all!
The table is 12' x 16' roughly.

Tom

Karellian Knight16 Jul 2015 5:51 a.m. PST

12' x 16'. How on earth do your move figures in the middle of the table?

darclegion18 Jul 2015 7:12 a.m. PST

there is dead space, reserved for terrain. I have about 12 large castles that cover the table.

Tom

Moe the Great11 Feb 2016 2:25 p.m. PST

The Table's okay. :) But the Space to be able to set it up is pretty impressive too. I've had apartments smaller than that room.

Probert15 Feb 2016 11:03 a.m. PST

Really nice work.

Stepman321 Feb 2016 10:00 a.m. PST

…you know what man? Whatever. Coming on here showing off like you're cool or something…(I'm secretly envious. Amazing work.)

The H Man22 Feb 2016 3:50 a.m. PST

Oooohhh! Zombie table! Great job, but not quite as literal as what I was expecting.

Darkoath02 Mar 2016 2:54 p.m. PST

Who makes the large metal power towers? Not sure what the real name they are known by? Probably an O scale model RR product… those look great!

The H Man02 Mar 2016 4:41 p.m. PST

I agree, but why are they decorated with chinese lanterns?

Maxshadow12 Mar 2016 9:57 p.m. PST

Incredible! A week? Impressive!

Gnubrid23 May 2016 12:15 p.m. PST

WOW, just, WOW

Redmenace23 May 2016 1:49 p.m. PST

Just beautiful. How do you move models that are towards the center?
