…at one of my local Half Price Books yesterday:
Its original price at publication was $24.95 USD, but was reduced to $12.99 USD. When I saw it in the clearance area, it was only $3.00 USD, and its in surprisingly pristine condition! Now, I've been aware of the world of Steampunk through Victorian-era authors H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, and others. And I've known about the many games associated with the genre (GDW's Space:1889, for example), but this book has some of the most FANTASTIC and imaginative illustrations in it! With all that I thought I knew about Steampunk, I'm really surprised that the world of Frank Reade slipped past me. |
